Founder of Yang & Partners, Mr. Gregory Ng has spent over a decade handling a broad spectrum of litigation, conveyancing, corporate and banking work — and now leads a boutique practice built on the conviction that the law should open paths, not just list barriers.
Mr. Gregory Ng obtained his LL.B (Hons) from the University of Northumbria, Newcastle, U.K., followed by the Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP). He was chambered under Mr. Go Tiong Siew of Messrs Go Tiong Siew & Associates in 2012 and was called to the Malaysian Bar on 28 March 2013.
Since then, he has handled a broad spectrum of litigation with extensive exposure to conveyancing, civil, corporate and banking work — acting in matters spanning banking, hire purchase, contract, intellectual property, sale of goods, wills, trusts, land law, and media & entertainment.
General conveyancing practice — advising on and drafting sale and purchase agreements, tenancy and rental of real property, and the documents securing their financing.
Specialises in banking documentation — overdraft and corporate financing documents, housing and corporate loans, agreements concerning land and company matters, and debt restructuring.
Has appeared in company joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, liquidation, receivership and winding-up matters across the corporate field.
Advises Small and Medium Industries from incorporation through the crucial stages of growth, including the drafting of contracts on company and land matters.
With a keen interest in admiralty and maritime law, Mr. Ng has advised most of the shipping and land-reclamation companies operating in the state of Melaka — at the heart of the Straits of Malacca, one of the world’s busiest trade corridors.
